We have worked closely with Braintree College and Colchester Institute in order to extend the range of opportunity offered in years 10 and 11. As a result we are now able to offer the following areas of study;

Most elements of these courses are taught at the college concerned but some elements are taught by college staff at Honywood.
All courses lead to nationally recognised qualifications, most being NVQs. These qualifications sit alongside the main subjects being studied at Honywood.

A small number of pupils participate in the New Approach Scheme or the Widening Horizons Project. Within this a small number of students study off site, working towards qualifications related to the key skills in the major subjects and vocational areas.

We are presently working on a project which involves Honywood staff teaching some elements of A levels at Braintree College
