Every Child Matters - In Essex
With the approach of the introduction of the government's ContactPoint children's contact list, it's easy for parents, carers and children to find out more information.
ContactPoint is part of the Department for Children, Schools and Families' Every Child Matters plan, which all councils follow.
ContactPoint is a contacts list for professionals who work with children and young people. It will provide professionals with a quick way to find out who else is working with the same child, making it easier to deliver more coordinated support. ContactPoint lists contact details for all children in England up to their 18th birthday, their parents and carers and services working with a child
Information for parents and young people can be downloaded from the Essex County Council website, www.essex.gov.uk and you can request a printed information leaflet from the ContactPoint team either by telephone 0845 603 7627 or by email ContactPoint@essex.gov.uk .
